HOW PEOPLE ARE BEING CONNED ONLINE
Ever received email from a very beautiful woman telling you she is fallen in love with you? This email will always be from a western African princess whose father died recently and he left her a fortune always millions of dollars and you are the person she is ready to share the fortune with because she loves you. She will tell you to give her your account number so that she will wire the money to your account. If you are not careful this so called “princess” may end up conning you all your money. They are not always women but men who pose as women to con lonely men of their hard earned money.

Conmen are conning people on Facebook. They will impersonate famous people by opening accounts using their names. One such incident I witnessed was of a philanthropic Kenyan politician. His name is mike sonko. The conman opened an account with the name mike sonko foundation and was asking people to send 1000 shillings via mpesa and they will be given 100000 shillings. Many people fall for this trick. My advice to all online users is to check if the Facebook page or twitter handle has a blue tick before trusting them.

If you are online please don’t trust people easily. Millions of people have been conned. Don’t fall victim. Please don’t send money to strangers.
