OH NOT AGAIN! Recce Officer Commits Suicide After Shooting DEAD His Lover At Ruiru Headquarters

An officer attached to the elite Recce Squad allegedly shot his lover dead before killing himself at their Ruiru headquarters on today morning. It is not clear what led to the shooting but sources at the heavily guarded camp said the officer had an argument with the woman.
None of his colleagues heard the commotion until their bodies were discovered at around 9.30am. Police Constable Kimiri Mwarabu is alleged to have committed the act at around 8pm on Thursday shortly after he was handed a gun in readiness for that evening’s assignment.
The incident took place inside the officer’s house situated in Block 14 living quarters inside the Compound of GSU Recce Company Camp in Ruiru, Kimbo. Neighbours said they heard gunshots at around the same time the incident happened.
Juja OCPD Patricia Nasio asked for more time to look into the matter before she could issue an official statement.
Cases of police officers shooting their lovers and colleagues have been on the rise in Kenya and this latest case could not be termed as an isolated case.
